The short version

• No sign-up, no passwords, no ads, and we don’t sell your data.
• Your trip is only visible to people who have its invite link or code.
• We only use what you put into the app to run the app.

What we store

• A random device ID. Each phone or browser gets an anonymous ID so it can open the trips it has joined. It isn’t linked to your name, email or phone number.
• What you add to a trip: the name and photo you choose for your profile, places, itinerary, expenses, checklist items, chat messages, photos, receipts and booking files. Everyone in the trip can see these.
• This phone’s trip list is kept in your browser so the app remembers which trips you’re in.
• Notifications: if you turn them on, we keep your browser’s push address so we can tell you when friends add places or photos.
• Usage counts: we count things like app opens, map loads and searches to understand costs and improve the app. Visitor stats come from Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies.

Services that help run trippiehehe

• Supabase stores trip data and files.
• Vercel hosts the app.
• Google Maps Platform powers place search, maps, ratings and travel times. Your searches and map locations are sent to Google.
• Anthropic (Claude) reads booking screenshots, receipts and text you choose to translate, only when you use those features. It doesn’t keep your data to train its models.
• Stripe handles tips if you buy us a coffee. We never see your card details.

Keeping and deleting data

Trip data stays until it’s deleted. You can remove places, expenses, photos and travellers inside a trip. To delete a whole trip or ask what we hold, contact us and include the trip code.

Terms of use

• trippiehehe is provided free and as is. We do our best, but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free.
• Travel info such as opening hours, travel times, prices, ratings and translations comes from third parties and can be wrong. Always double-check anything important like bookings and transport.
• Cost splits and receipt readings are a helper, not accounting advice. Check the numbers before settling up.
• Don’t upload anything illegal or anything you don’t have the right to share.
• Tips are voluntary and don’t buy extra features or support.
